ohai

A quick hello to my blog readers (I know there's at least one!).

Things have been busy, and tiring as of late. I can't complain though. I have a job (as tedious and meaningless as it may feel sometimes), I don't have swine flu (though, when I first heard about the possible "pandemic" I instantly thought about my mom and her awful experience with a 1976 swine flu vaccine, then wondering how much of this a result of 24-hour news casts and the fact that 1000's of people die every year from the flu (non-swine-type)), my boyfriend is coming home from a business trip in an hour and that really...things could be worse, and I'm fairly content.

I've been working diligently on staying caught up in my classes. This is a feat of some sort so far seeing how a) my classes aren't terribly interesting and b) including commute time, i spend about 45 hours a week doing my work thing. I'll be interested in my final grades this semester. So far, all As. As long as I don't mess up finals?

It's a weird feeling to be in a house where 2/5 have a job, and that you're 1/2 of that minority. Ethan and I are very lucky, and are making a decent income. Google laid off people in his department, so happy for him he shouldn't have to worry about another round of lay-offs for awhile. I digress, it's weird to be 2/5 people who have to wake up at 7AM (..and try to get to sleep before midnight). I can't tell if I'm resentful or annoyed, but the situation drives me crazy. The "let's do shots!!!!!!" yell at 11:45pm on a Tuesday night isn't my favorite thing to hear.

My brother came to visit this weekend, and I had a really nice time seeing him. I liked that he got a little (and perhaps strange) glimpse into my everyday life. I hope he had fun, I drug him to touristy places, fed him some tasty food and maybe a little too much whiskey. Pictures to be posted of our SF trip soon! Thanks again for visiting, Seth!

I've been playing WoW a little too much the past few days while Ethan is gone. For some reason, I can only lay in bed at 7pm and eat popcorn when he isn't here. Not that'd he'd mind much, it's just a 'private' thing...I guess? :)

That's all for now. Goodnight!
