one year

it's an interesting time for me this part of january, where i'll be hitting a lot of 'one year' marks. i've lived in california for a year now. which means living with ethan for a year, in this house, in this city. 

soon, very soon, it will be my year-mark at work. 1/23/08 was my hire date. it's nice to think i've stuck around there that long, and to think about how much i've learned, and the progress i've made. i like that.

next week will be my second year at my school here. it was a year ago i was excited and terrifed to be taking classes again, wondering if i'd do well, scared to think about how i'd balance my brand-new californian lifestyle. 

i think it's all gone pretty well. i like 'year-marks', anniversaries. 

i renamed my blog, it seemed to suit it better. i tend to write these at night, when ethan is asleep - and i'll never forget him rolling over, annoyed, asking me "can you please type less vigorously?". and no, i can't :)
